ONSLOW SEAWATER DESALINATION PLANT

Onslow Seawater Desalination Plant

The Onslow Water Treatment Plant project, near the Beadon Creek Maritime Facility, involved the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and performance validation of a 1.5 ML/d seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant, with capacity for future upgrade to 2 ML/d.

Peritas were involved in both structural and civil to upgrade the seawater intake and brine outfall pipework into Beadon Bay, pre-treatment systems, potabilisation, waste treatment, and delivery of drinking water to the Onslow storage tanks.

Peritas contributed to key aspects such as marine intake and outfall works, tie-ins to existing infrastructure, and compliance with safety, operability and water quality requirements. The project also encompassed site remediation, training, and the provision of comprehensive operation and maintenance documentation.
