R U OK Day 2026
For R U OK? Day 2026, Peritas is sharing why the conversation doesn’t stop at “are you okay”. Elise Bresler, Head of People and Culture at Peritas, looks at what genuine support looks like before, during and after that chat.
In their own words
Hear from our team about the Peritas culture.
The culture is down to earth and everyone is friendly. There's a big emphasis on fostering a good culture, with lots of diverse events that are fun and engaging.
Peritas has built a work environment that fosters innovation and success. It invests in its people and guides them through growth and opportunity.
Balance days help move the needle closer to true work-life balance. They allow me to do things I enjoy like going away with family for a long weekend, outdoor activities on the random day that has perfect weather or a slow, easy day. They are also great for life admin, freeing up weekends for rest and recreation.
People and Culture FAQs
Does Peritas offer flexible working?
Yes. Start and finish times can be adjusted with your leader’s approval to fit around personal commitments. Our Balance Days also give our people the opportunity to earn an extra day off each month, up to 12 days a year.
Can I work from home or work hybrid?
Peritas runs a hybrid model. Once you’ve passed probation, you can work from home one day a week, usually midweek, and spend the rest of the week in the office with your team. Arrangements can vary depending on your role and project needs.
What is SPARK?
SPARK is our employee engagement and wellbeing program, run by our People and Culture team to get people trying new things, growing personally and connecting across the business. Recent highlights include the 12-week Reach Your Peak wellness program, our Peritas Pacesetters City to Surf team, and social events ranging from hikes and padel to lawn bowls and cooking classes.
What opportunities are there to learn and grow in my role?
Everyone at Peritas can join our structured mentoring program, regardless of role or experience level, with mentor catch-ups scheduled throughout the year. You’ll also gain exposure to a wide range of sectors, from land development and water to education and industrial, working alongside experienced and chartered engineers.
