Peritas was engaged to provide structural and civil engineering design for a new prime-grade distribution facility within Cranbourne West. The project transformed a 34,900 m² site into a high-quality logistics facility comprising 21,050 m² of warehouse space, a 3,750 m² super canopy, 490 m² of two-storey office space, and 5,750 m² of heavy-duty hardstand.

Peritas delivered the complete structural and civil design for the project, including the design and certification of the steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs. The site presented several complex constraints, including the two-storey office positioned adjacent to an existing sewer easement, and the super canopy and heavy-duty hardstand delivered up against the neighbouring facility.

These constraints required a pragmatic, efficient, and buildable design approach to achieve practical outcomes for the client without compromising performance. Through Peritas’ proven design efficiencies, the final building structure achieved a steel rate of 13.7 kg/m² while maintaining a robust, fit-for-purpose outcome suited to the demands of a modern industrial facility.
